Los switch MikroTik es un completo y funcional conmutador de capa 3. Gestionados por el sistema nativo RouterOS. Su alta flexibilidad y escalabilidad, permiten su uso tanto en pequeñas como en grandes empresas.
Los dispositivos tienen características muy avanzadas, que incluyen la capacidad de controlar el ancho de banda, configuraciones de VLAN, filtrado de direcciones MAC, reenvío de puertos (port-to-port forwarding) y duplicación de puertos (mirror traffic). Además, algunos dispositivos pueden alimentar otros dispositivos que soporten PoE (Power over Ethernet).
